Resorts in Spain

The southern coast of Spain is famous for its sandy beaches, and for its 13 top golf courses. Local towns and villages draw golf and tennis players and sun seekers from all over Europe. Further North, the Costa Blanca offers beautiful landscape and unspoiled beaches. Alicante, centrally located in the Costa Blanca, is home to a number of historical sites, including the castles at Elda, Villena and Elche. South of Alicante, with its red-tile roofs and famous Castillo de Santa Barbara and the Costa Blanca's burgeoning beach resorts, lies a more peaceful coastline backed by the Murcian Hills. The all year-round sunshine and warm climate are well-suited to the active vacationers.

Along the Costa del Sol and Costa Blanca, there are some great venues for a night out, ranging from classy restaurants with views of the Mediterranean to boisterous karaoke bars. Casinos, clubs, 'chiringuitos', English pubs, Spanish bars, discos, flamenco shows and more. Malaga is the Costa del Sol capital, where you can appreciate life lived on the streets, with more bars per square metre than anywhere else in Europe. Torremolinos and Benalmedena as tourist centres with a thriving nightlifes.

Mainland Spain boasts many of the most well known tourist areas in Europe, including Marbella, Fuengirola and Puerto Banus, and offers a wide range of tourist attractions, including a number of local fiestas for those looking to sample Spanish culture.
